SOURCING SPECIALIST
The role of the Sourcing Specialist is to plan and execute Madison IAQ sourcing activities according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes coordinating efforts of internal team members and suppliers in order to deliver results according to plan, developing schedule with milestone deliverables, BOM quotation with cost breakdown analysis, cost negotiation to meet company targets, executing sourcing plan till successful launch and transfer to Purchasing team.
DUTIES & JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Manage Madison IAQ Asia sourcing activities from supplier selection to closure.
2. Identify potential suppliers; conduct supplier evaluation and qualification assessment and present for management review and supplier selection decision making.
3. Benchmark quotation, analyze BOM cost, and negotiate pricing.
4. Follow up parts qualification progress with supplier and internal functions.
5. Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirement documentations, and presentations.
6. Manage changes proactively, identify potential risks, and make contingency plan.
7. Support VA/VE activities to meet annual cost saving target.
8. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor's or higher degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a similar field preferred.
2. 3-5 years experience in project management, SCM, or sourcing supplier management.
3. Good communication skills in both English and Chinese.
4. Able to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
5. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Good at conducting research into project-related questions and products.
7. Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.
8. Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
9. Job experience in HVAC, Auto industry, or EMS industry preferred.
